WHAT WE DO TOGETHER
DISCOVERY
BIBLE DISCUSSIONS

One of our favorite ways to serve people in our communities is to meet in their homes and businesses to hold discussions of short Bible passages. These are not "lectures" or even "teaching" times. Instead, we enjoy a time of conversation regarding the specific passage of the Bible that we are reading together that day. We ask several questions and each person in the group can share their insights and perspectives as we go through the text.
Our main goal is to learn to listen to the Holy Spirit as He guides our hearts, minds, and spirits and brings us His insights on the Bible passage, and in our lives. He is our teacher and guide. It can be a life-changing experience to hear everyone's insights in these "Discovery" Bible discussions!
Also, very often, through these Bible discussions people come to know Jesus and His community of followers in a personal way for the first time.
FELLOWSHIP AS
SPIRITUAL FAMILY
Just like a "physical family" does life together in homes, we meet in homes as "spiritual family" the same as the early disciples of Jesus did.
Acts 2:42 ISV says, "The believers continued to devote themselves to what the apostles were teaching, to fellowship, to the breaking of bread, and to times of prayer." We are family, loving one another and loving God.
We are far from perfect, but seek to grow daily with the encouragement and mutual support of one another, in the power of the Holy Spirit who enables us to live lives pleasing to God. Like a healthy "physical family" would be for each other, we are committed to loving one another, no matter what.
We enjoy spending time together, sharing meals, laughing together, and doing life together. We especially love to worship God, together!

PRAY FOR
OUR NEIGHBORS

We enjoy frequent times of intentionally going out into the community to meet and pray for our neighbors. We might walk around certain areas of town to pray silently to the Lord at times. Or we might engage with people we meet, praying for them out loud if they desire it. Often, this is how we meet people who are eager to hear about eternal life in Jesus. He taught His disciples to go out "two by two" and this helps us to help others as we support and pray with one another.
It also allows us to be a spiritual light in a dark world. We can see needs people have such as healing, poverty, sadness, lostness, etc. Things we might otherwise never notice.
CELEBRATE AND
SUPPORT EACH OTHER
Followers of Jesus are called the "body of Christ". As individuals, we are all parts of Jesus' body. The body of Christ is a united body, and we are all growing in our ability to operate more fully in that unity and oneness together. Even though we are all still growing and not perfect by any means, this community is a place of true peace.
1 Corinthians 12:25-27 says, "God did this so that our body would not be divided. God wanted the different parts to care the same for each other. If one part of the body suffers, then all the other parts suffer with it. Or if one part is honored, then all the other parts share its honor. All of you together are the body of Christ. Each one of you is a part of that body."
We celebrate victories, together. And we support one another through the trials and difficulties of life.
